As an engineer who dabbled in welding years ago, I was excited to try the YESWELDER 135Amp MIG Welder. Forget those clunky stick welders of the past! This MIG machine is so much lighter and easier to use, especially for thin metal projects. It’s perfect for a DIYer like me. I gave it a test run on a flimsy metal fan stand, and let me tell you, it did the trick! The stand is all fixed up now, saving me the cost of a whole new fan. Bonus points for being portable – I can easily move this machine around for different projects.

Now, here’s a tip I learned the hard way: super thin metal (less than 1mm) needs a special touch. The automatic wire feed is way too fast and will burn holes right through. To make spot welds instead, I simply let some extra wire stick out of the nozzle and then disengaged the wire feeder (by pulling off a wheel). This way, I can press the trigger and get a weld without the constant wire flow. If I need more wire, I can either turn the feeder back on or just push some in by hand. It’s a little trickier, but it works great for those delicate jobs! Read more…
