I’m a welder, and I was really skeptical about this GZ GUOZHI 130 amp arc welder. There are a lot of cheap import welders out there that promise more than they deliver, but this one seems like the real deal.

The first thing that caught my eye was the quality of the cables. They’re thick and long (at least 9 feet), unlike the skimpy cables you get on some other welders. The clamps and electrode holder are also beefier and seem much better made than what you usually find on a budget welder. Even the power switch feels solid and well-made, not some cheap plastic thing.

But the real test is how it welds, and this GZ GUOZHI welder did not disappoint! It actually puts out more amps than it’s rated for. For example, when I set it to 150 amps, it was actually welding at 160 amps. This extra power is likely for the hot-start function, which helps get the arc started easily. Then it settles down to the amperage you set on the display.

I even maxed out the welder to see if the thermal overload protection worked, and it did! The welder shut down safely when it got too hot.

Overall, I’m really impressed with this GZ GUOZHI welder. It’s well-made, puts out more power than advertised, and has built-in safety features. It’s definitely a keeper! The only thing to be aware of is that the seller seems to be mixing up the reviews for this 130 amp welder with another model they sell. If you’re looking for a quality, affordable 130 amp arc welder, this GZ GUOZHI is a great option. Read more…
